The St. John Valley has rivers and woodlands to the west, open meadows in the east and a language and culture all its own. Many people here are descendants of the Acadians, who came here after being exiled from Nova Scotia. Visit the historic Acadian Village north of Van Buren to trace their "living history". Fort Kent, Madawaska and other communities within the Valley offer more historic and cultural treasures.

The St. John Valley is located in the North Eastern Region of Aroostook County.
